Job Description

Absorb into our dynamic QA environment as a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist

As a member of our agile team, you will contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, ensuring seamless software releases.

  • Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to create effective test cases.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for various types of testing.
  • Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Ensure thorough test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior testers by sharing knowledge and reviewing test cases.
  • Take ownership of testing for assigned modules or projects with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
Additional Expectations

  • Provide timely and detailed test execution status reports.
  • Support UAT by assisting business users and validating fixes.
  • Identify opportunities for test optimization and improvements in QA processes.
