Job Title

As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of collection officers and field agents, overseeing the planning and implementation of collection strategies, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding accounts.

  • Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of branch collection officers and field collection agents.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff productivity and adherence to collection protocols.
  • Collection Operations:
  • Plan and execute area-specific collection strategies to achieve targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and take prompt follow-up actions to prevent delinquency escalation.
  • Closely collaborate with the legal team to facilitate recovery proceedings when necessary.
  • Portfolio Monitoring:
  • Analyze trends in delinquency rates, recovery patterns, and implement corrective actions to optimize collections.
  • Regularly review DPD buckets to identify potential risks and develop targeted interventions.
  • Identify high-risk cases and recommend remedial actions to mitigate losses.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure that all collections are conducted ethically and in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate MIS reports and documentation related to collections.
  • Conduct regular field visits to verify customer status and monitor recovery progress.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Engage with customers to understand repayment issues and provide viable resolution plans.
  • Handle escalated cases and disputes with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Reporting:
  • Submit regular reports to regional/zonal heads on key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose area-specific improvements.
