We are seeking a highly experienced KYC Quality Controller (QC) Team Lead to join our Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) Managed Service Business. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a small to medium-sized group of KYC analysts, ensuring the quality of KYC files, and operational execution and efficiency.

This role requires a KYC SME with experience in delivering high-quality work within project deadlines, and the ability to apply a consistent approach to KYC processes while adhering to regulatory requirements and client procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key controls, compliance, and investigation functions in the banking industry, as well as excellent communication skills and a passion for client service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a small to medium-sized team of KYC analysts/Associates, including performance management.
  • Performing sign-off/QC for KYC files and ensuring KYC records, screening, client outreach, and any other client requirements are completed in line with client expectations and contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensuring the quality of the team's KYC files and any other output is of a high standard and delivering training and guidance where needed to ensure this.
  • Analysing MI to identify risks, issues, and drive the pipeline of work and performance management on the team on a daily basis.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for escalations and issues from the team and providing solutions/guidance.
  • Acting in an SME capacity for the team.
  • Proactively engaging with key stakeholders to deliver project work within agreed SLAs.
  • Capacity management, including prioritisation.
  • Assisting in defining procedures, processes, standards, and best practices to ensure efficiency/continuous improvement.
  • Working with the team to identify any material trends for ongoing quality and cycle time improvement.
  • Conducting performance reviews and giving constructive feedback.
  • Promoting and developing a strong culture within the team and embedding the Delta Capita values.

Requirements

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Demonstratable team lead and people management experience.
  • Demonstratable QC/QA experience delivering high-quality work.
  • KYC SME level knowledge across low to high-risk jurisdictions and both complex and non-complex structures.
  • Proven experience of PEPs, Sanctions, and Negative Media screening.
  • Proven experience in performing financial crime risk assessments of clients.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of best practices in building and maintaining KYC processes.
  • Understanding of key controls, compliance/AML, investigation functions in the banking industry.
  • Excellent understanding of the end-to-end KYC and client onboarding processes.
  • Excellent communicator, able to effectively and professionally communicate with stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Flexible with shift timings and work from office.
  • A Graduate in any discipline.

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience in AML/KYC operations.
