Highly Experienced Senior Technical Leader Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned senior technical leader to join our team. As a key member of our Content Automation group, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams in delivering high-quality navigation database and services to automotive customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage resource allocation and identify staffing shortages
- Conduct organization planning and development
- Provide technical leadership and make critical technical decisions to the product development
- Define future product directions, priorities, and roadmaps in synergy with Product Management
- Be accountable for delivering map data and map data services according to product and technology development plans
- Guide, mentor, and manage team members to help them reach their potential and expand their expertise
- Build a culture of respect, delivery, and innovation in the team
- Utilize an agile mindset to create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning
- Promote best engineering practices and continuous improvement, individual competence, and accountability
- Coordinate functions between geographically distributed teams
- Ensure prompt response to all production, customer support, and quality issues
- Establish and institutionalize organization standards, processes, and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Total 12 years of work experience in related field
- 8 years proven track record of managing R&D teams, including growing an organization and shaping its structure
- 5 years of expert-level coding skills in Java
- Proven track record of building and operating highly reliable, scalable data-processing systems
- Expert knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms
- Proven experience with transforming ideas into commercial products
- Profound experience with digital mapping industry and location-based services
- Hands-on experience in all phases of developing complex software systems, including architecture, design, prototyping, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Very good communication skills and ability to comfortably work in a global environment
- Excellent people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills
- Hands-on experience with Git, Gerrit, or Gitlab and experience with CI/CD
- Good understanding of open source with Web Services, SOAP, REST
- Good understanding of open-source frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka
- Good understanding of Service-oriented Architectures, micro-services architecture, and at least one cloud services platform such as AWS or similar
