Job Title: Strategic Data Insights Specialist

Job Description:

This is a highly specialized role that requires a deep understanding of data analysis, process improvement, and cloud cost management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting enterprise data platform operations, focusing on workflow optimization, automation, and infrastructure support.

As a key member of the cross-functional team, you will work closely with platform engineering, data engineering, and vendor partners (AWS, Databricks, etc.) to analyze workflows and processes, identify optimization opportunities, and build and manage KPIs, dashboards, and reports for leadership insights.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SQL, Python or R, hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and FinOps practices, and knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Quicksight, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing workflows and processes to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Building and managing KPIs, dashboards, and reports for leadership insights.
  • Supporting FinOps initiatives, including cloud cost optimization and vendor management.
  • Contributing to infrastructure operations, resiliency planning, and automation.
  • Assisting in lifecycle management of IT platform products (AWS, Databricks, Ataccama, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • Big data analytics platform experience.
  • Advanced FinOps or cloud cost management knowledge.
  • Utilities/energy industry experience.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or operational excellence frameworks.
  • AWS/FinOps certifications.
