Job Description

As a Data Governance Expert, you will play a key role in deploying and managing Microsoft Purview solutions to ensure data compliance and risk management.

You will be responsible for defining and implementing data classification, labeling, and protection policies across hybrid and cloud-native environments.

Additionally, you will configure and manage DLP, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in Purview, integrating it with other Microsoft services for end-to-end compliance enforcement.

You will assess the current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies to strengthen governance and meet regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Data Governance, or Information Protection.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.
  • Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.) and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
