Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team and help us build industry-leading map solutions using machine learning and data analytics.

This role involves designing and building process automation for our Core Map processes, leveraging scalable Big Data infrastructure and machine learning for global-scale digital map-making.

The successful candidate will develop and test analytic and statistical models to enhance internal data-driven processes and system control needs.

Responsibilities also include serving as an expert and evangelist in areas of data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis and modeling.

  • Design and implement process automation for Core Map processes.
  • Develop and test analytic and statistical models.
  • Expertise in data mining and analytic methods, including regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Point Cloud Processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis packages like Python, R, Matlab, SAS, etc., and programming languages like SQL, shell script, Python, etc.

Requirements:

  • A MS or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • 7+ years of related professional experience.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customer executives, technical and non-technical stakeholders.
