Manufacturing Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies that drive business growth and efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems (ERP, databases, cloud)
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases (SQL, historian, time-series databases) for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives (Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, predictive analytics)
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, including scripting module configuration and project deployment
  • Strong background in MES functions (production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.)
  • Proficiency with database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMIs), plant floor connectivity
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards (ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for SCADA/MES deployments
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation/Industry 4.0 projects
  • Certifications (Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications)
