Job Overview:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications in manufacturing operations
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, cloud
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADAMES deployments to ensure minimal downtime
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, scripting module configuration, and project deployment
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC etc
  • Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent
  • Experience with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT, OPC UA protocols
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA HMIs, plant floor connectivity
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT etc
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications
