Project Director

Job Overview:

The Project Director oversees the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of user experience design projects from inception to completion. They lead cross-functional teams in ensuring seamless project progress while translating business goals into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project objectives, timelines, and resource allocations in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, design sprints, reviews, and team meetings to drive project momentum.
  • Coordinate between UX designers, UI developers, and business stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and manage project roadmaps, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Monitor project milestones, quality, and client satisfaction, adjusting plans as needed for optimal delivery.
  • Ensure design processes adhere to best practices for usability, accessibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Communicate project status to leadership and clients through regular reports and updates.

Requirements:

  • 3–7 years' experience directing digital or UX-focused projects, preferably in an agency or product development environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams on UX or digital projects.
  • Practical knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban).
  • Familiarity with UX design processes, research, and tools (e.g., Figma, Miro).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
