Job Opportunity: Experience Design Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Experience Design Manager to lead our retail convenience consumer technology team in Bangalore. This role will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of user-centered design solutions, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and business impact across digital and physical touchpoints in the convenience retail sector.

The successful candidate will have 12+ years of progressive experience in design, with at least 5 years in leadership or management roles. They will possess a deep understanding of UX/UI design, design systems, interaction design, and user research methodologies. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for retail, convenience, or consumer technology markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Define and execute the design vision and strategy for retail convenience consumer tech, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of UX/UI designers, researchers, and content professionals
  • Design Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and final implementation
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and innovative design solutions
  • User-Centric Innovation: Champion user research and data-driven design, ensuring products meet and exceed customer expectations in convenience retail environments

Requirements:

  • Design Expertise: Deep knowledge of UX/UI design, design systems, interaction design, and user research methodologies
  • Retail/Consumer Tech: Understanding of retail convenience, consumer technology trends, and digital/physical customer journeys
  • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and lead high-performing design teams
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
