Role Overview

This is a senior technical role at Equiniti, a leading international provider of shareholder, pension, remediation, and credit technology. With over 6000 employees, it supports 37 million people in 120 countries.

As an Enterprise Technology Strategist, you will be part of the development or configuration team and play a key role in shaping the company's technology vision.

The successful candidate will have a passion for technology, innovation, and collaboration, with a keen eye on continuously improving processes and delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies are followed across the team.
  • Develop and maintain software development processes, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Promote engineering excellence and quality through the use of analysis tools, control gates, and peer reviews.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption within the team to enable competitive differentiation and strengthen existing product technology.
  • Drive optimisation of the engineering lifecycle through knowledge management and continuous learning.
  • Mentor and guide engineers within the team and assist with technical challenges as needed.
  • Take ownership of delivering high-quality work and foster a self-directed and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Involve yourself in talent pipeline development throughout the wider home by assisting with hiring, internal movements, succession planning, and talent reviews.
  • Show interest in reducing technical debt across the estate and mission, supporting the Manager Engineer and Product in prioritising its reduction.
  • Articulate the technical roadmap, the vitality of the product, architecture overview documentation, and the validation of our platforms in the product pipeline.

Technical Requirements

  • Configuration management: Plans the capture and management of CIs and related information.
  • Able to agree on the scope of configuration management processes and CIs to be controlled.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and manages the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques, and processes for configuration management.
  • Contributes to the development of configuration management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
