Welcome to the role of Site Reliability Engineer, a key position at our organization. We are seeking an experienced professional who excels in automation, cloud infrastructure, and observability solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical depth and a proactive mindset, driving system reliability and performance through their work. With experience level of Senior (7 years and above), the right individual will thrive in this challenging yet rewarding role.

This role involves supporting the US EST time zone (2 PM – 11 PM IST) and requires strong skills in several areas:

Technical Expertise
  • Experience with Python for cloud service automation is crucial
  • Integrating cloud services into monitoring systems is also essential
Infrastructure Knowledge
  • Terraform skills for cross-cloud infrastructure deployment are necessary
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code is also required
Cloud Architecture
  • Proficiency in resilient design patterns including failover and disaster recovery is vital
  • Practical experience with multi-cloud environments (primarily GCP and Azure) is also essential
Monitoring Systems
  • A comprehensive understanding of observability frameworks is necessary
  • The ability to implement monitoring as code is also essential
  • Experience with Dynatrace, Elastic, Splunk, and PagerDuty is also required
  • Knowledge of integrating observability tools to enhance reliability is crucial
Logging & Alert Systems
  • Proficiency in Splunk and native cloud logging solutions is necessary
Pipeline Management
  • Jenkins and Groovy implementation experience is required
  • A strong CI/CD pipeline background is also essential
Problem-Solving & Security
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities are necessary
  • Security vulnerability remediation experience is also required
  • Networking fundamentals are also essential
  • Security compliance knowledge (including Azure VM vulnerability assessment) is crucial
Bonus Skills
  • Java and .NET application development background is beneficial
  • Enhanced networking expertise is also valuable
