Financial Data Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled financial data analyst to perform key responsibilities including:

  1. Analyzing financial data from various sectors and systematically controlling and logging financial transactions.
  2. Processing journal entries, accounting for financial transactions into the general ledger, collecting, recording, verifying and reconciling financial data, and performing lease accounting.
  3. Maintaining and updating hierarchies in the general ledger and managing cost centers.
  4. Recording and controlling physical records and financial activities related to fixed assets for book and tax purposes.
  5. Preparing financial reports and analyses.
  6. Monitoring and tracking periodic revenue and expenses.
  7. Tracking purchase orders and invoices.
  8. Daily posting of bank statements.
  9. Preparing and posting journal entries that include accruals, re-classifications, adjustments, payroll, and clearing entries as per timelines.
  10. Performing month-end close activities as per agreed close calendar.
  11. Reconciling bank statements.
  12. Preparing cash flow statements.
  13. Reviewing and reconciling balance sheets.
  14. Managing quarterly inter-company processes and ensuring variations are within threshold limits.
  15. Processing requests for fixed assets addition, disposal, or retirement.
  16. Preparing statutory analysis to support monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables.
  17. Preparing budgets and forecasts as per client organization policies and providing variance analysis as per frequency.

A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Experience with financial data analysis and accounting principles is highly desirable.
