The Procurement Specialist will oversee the acquisition of necessary components and services for electric vehicles.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Establish relationships with reliable suppliers for EV components and materials.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate logistics for timely deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.
- Vendor Oversight:
- Develop long-term partnerships with vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensuring quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities according to industry standards.
- Inventory Optimization:
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and service teams to forecast material requirements.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Streamline procurement processes to improve efficiency.
- Compliance & Record Keeping:
- Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate records.
- Handle import/export documentation for EV parts and equipment.
- Cost & Quality Efficiency:
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure procured items meet specifications.
- Contribute to localization strategies to reduce costs and import dependency.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, MBA
- Experience: 2–5 years in procurement, preferably in the automobile or electric vehicle industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of EV components (battery, motor, controller, charger, etc.) is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
