ICT & Telecommunications Design Expert

We are seeking an experienced ICT and telecommunications professional to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and publish telecommunications designs to support projects, undertaking detailed designs for ICT and telecommunications systems, including structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN, RF systems, and technology platforms.
  • Create reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable tendering of works, ensuring a suitably qualified integrator/contractor undertakes installation and commission of systems and solutions.
  • Liaise with engineers, vendors, and contractors throughout the project duration.
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers and work within a multi-discipline design team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ICT and telecommunications design utilizing standards such as BICSI, ISO, IEEE, Certified Wireless Network Professional Design Guidelines, Cisco, and Aruba networking and wireless design guidelines. They should also hold vendor and industry certifications demonstrating capability and skill level.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Engineering or Information Technology (Networks) is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is essential.
  • Prior experience in mentoring is desirable.
  • Pursuing Chartered Engineer status in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and telecommunications designs is necessary.
  • Underpinning knowledge of network design principles and significant experience working in critical environments is required.
