Job Title: Fund Accounting Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in our Fund Accounting team. As a Fund Accounting Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely NAVs while performing various types of reconciliation between client's general ledger data and market data providers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets products, including equity, bonds, futures, options, and FX forwards. They will also have hands-on experience working with MS Excel and formulas.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills who can work under tight deadlines and maintain quality delivery as per standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing open-ended hedge funds with reconciliation and integration of trades for clients.
  • Accounting/booking of corporate actions trades.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly GAV/NAV preparation, which includes booking capital activities, market value reconciliation, computation of profit and loss for financial instruments, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, bond coupon accrual reconciliation, confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Good understanding of financial/capital markets products, including equity, bonds, futures, options, and FX forwards.
  • Hands-on experience working with MS Excel and formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification course in financial markets/products.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting software.
  • Experience in mutual funds accounting/audit.
