Senior Infrastructure Manager Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Infrastructure Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure operations, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven solutions.

  • This role is responsible for developing and implementing the organization's infrastructure strategy, encompassing on-premise datacentre management and cloud deployments.

The successful candidate will be able to analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to leverage these systems.

  • Negotiation of software, hardware, and IT supplies procurement as approved by senior management.

The selected individual will manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

  • Collaboration with senior management and peers to gain acceptance for alternate approaches where necessary.

The Senior Infrastructure Manager will oversee outsourced teams for daily operations and activities, providing guidance and support as required.

  • Live disaster recovery (DR) activities and regular DR drills.

Maintaining a working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks is essential for this role.

  • Production incident management and regulatory compliance leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, covering both on-premise datacentre and cloud infrastructure.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in program and project management.
  • Ability to plan and execute infrastructure-related projects.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  • Strong understanding and exposure to cloud computing.

Functional Competencies:

  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  • Holistic understanding of all datacentre functions, including production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
