About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished biologist with a strong background in PhD-level biology to join our team as a Remote Biology Specialist. In this position, you will be working on projects that involve fine-tuning large language models using your analytical and English comprehension skills.

  • The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in biology and the ability to break down complex biological concepts into simple explanations.
  • You should also be able to work efficiently and effectively in a remote setting.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and solve challenging biology problems to probe large language model limitations.
  • Develop high-quality solutions with clear reasoning.
  • Collaborate with researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals.
  • Contribute to defining new evaluation benchmarks based on biology curricula spanning PhD-level topics.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or completed PhD/Postdoctoral degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Good research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.
  • Creative and lateral thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Desktop/Laptop setup with good internet connection.
