Business Process Optimization Specialist

Lead business process harmonization initiatives, optimize target operating models, and enhance regional operational efficiencies. This role will drive continuous improvement through effective technology deployment, establish a high-performance agency network, and lead regional improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Harmonized Processes & Target Operating Models:

• Implement region-wide processes to standardize operations, collaborate with business owners to review target operating models, and refine them for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Continuously assess and refine these models to ensure alignment with regional requirements, bringing regional process specificities and business requirements to headquarters.

• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual processes and redundancies, act as a liaison between agencies, and promote best practice sharing.

• Develop a high-performance mindset within regional agencies, monitor and coach QPMs to improve agency performance across the region.
• Drive initiatives for best practices sharing, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement within agency networks.

• Lead regional improvement projects focusing on operational waste reduction, simplification, and efficiency gains, conducting regular assessments to uncover opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and simplification.
• Engage stakeholders across the region to drive a culture of continuous improvement and ensure alignment on project goals.

• Deploy target operating models in regions to minimize exceptions and manage country manager expectations.
• Deploy new tools and processes within the Region, monitor implementation, and project adoption before handover to business units.

• Participate in global headquarters projects, working closely with headquarters teams and external teams to manage effective project implementation.
• Act as a focal point for the region, providing regional specificities and process needs, collaborating, and helping agencies during GBS transition projects.

• Lead the setup and implementation of new regional clusters or agencies, ensuring alignment with business standards and operational targets.
• Provide guidance on standard operating procedures, resource allocation, and technology requirements to establish a solid foundation for new entities.
• Ensure smooth integration and adherence to the target operating model.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Key Competencies:

1. Degree in maritime business, logistics, or supply chain, or business management.
2. At least 3 years of managerial experience in project management and/or business process improvement.
3. Certification in LEAN Six Sigma, Project Management would be advantageous.
4. Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture and align operational processes with strategic business goals.
5. Change Management: Skilled in managing change effectively to drive the adoption of new processes and technologies.
6. Technology Acumen: Knowledgeable about new and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify and deploy relevant tools for process improvement.
7. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive in identifying opportunities to reduce waste, automate tasks, and simplify workflows (Lean and Six Sigma knowledge).
8. Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, assess performance, and inform process optimizations.
