About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support AI and Machine Learning initiatives through advanced data preparation, management, and analysis. This role involves cleaning, rationalizing, normalizing, and integrating large healthcare datasets to ensure readiness for AI-driven analytics and automation.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and AI teams to deliver high-quality, compliant data pipelines for predictive analytics, risk stratification, fraud detection, and other use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Cleaning: Identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing values.
  • Data Rationalization and Normalization: Align data with healthcare standards and structures (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED).
  • Data Aggregation and Consolidation: Combine datasets from multiple systems (EHRs, claims, third-party vendors).
  • Data Extraction Workflows: Generate AI-ready features.
  • Data Quality Assurance and Validation: Ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Align data preparation with project goals.
  • Automation and Scripting: Efficient data handling.
  • Documentation: Thorough documentation of data processes, transformations, and metadata.
  • Compliance: HIPAA, data governance, and security standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in healthcare data engineering.
  • Proficiency in data cleaning, normalization, aggregation, and feature extraction.
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards and coding systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from multiple healthcare systems and vendors.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions, APIs, payer platforms, and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Collaboration skills and ability to partner with AI/ML teams.
  • Understanding of data governance, HIPAA compliance, and audit documentation.
