Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Expert to join our team and lead the delivery of GIS-based solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • To collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to comprehend and document business needs, objectives, and challenges.
  • To be the primary point of contact for customers and responsible for gathering business requirements, project management, acceptance from customers on resources/manpower efforts consumption, managing operations to meet agreed support SLA, manage support team, coordinate offsite teams for delivery of CRs, etc.
  • To conduct regular meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather requirements and ensure alignment between project deliverables and client expectations.
  • To identify opportunities for enhancing the software application to meet evolving business demands.
  • To analyze existing workflows and functionalities within the GIS software application to identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  • To document detailed business and technical requirements, including functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
  • To translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • To lead the customer engagement (project phases) phase of the project, for various engagements of Lepton.
  • To proactively explore and assess new business use cases and opportunities for the GIS software application.
  • To conduct research and analysis to understand industry trends and competitive landscapes, providing insights to drive innovation and growth.
  • To work collaboratively with stakeholders to conceptualize and design solutions that align with business objectives.
  • To create solutions documents and approaches based on customer needs for large and complex sales opportunities.
  • To formulate and lead technical / functional support activities to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • To lead all aspects of the technical sales process. To advise internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. To facilitate client understanding of product/application through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks.
  • To provide knowledge transfer to the delivery teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • To scope the client solution to enable accurate estimation of effort.
  • To communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • To prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation for project updates, requirements, and findings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Telecom domain, Fiber Networks, FTTX, GIS based Active & Passive Inventory Management domain.
  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or in a similar role within software development projects, particularly GIS applications.
  • Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial analysis, and mapping technologies.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in project management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management, is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of any of the GIS based Fiber Inventory Management Systems.
  • Knowledge on GIS tools such as ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS is an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of OSS, BSS, NM Systems.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge on API integrations.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
