Job Overview

This role encompasses the strategic management of legal affairs and commercial risks within a fast-paced environment. The Chief Manager-Legal will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and vetting a wide array of contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

  • Drafting, reviewing, and vetting contracts including supply agreements, EPC contracts, transmission service agreements, share purchase agreements, and financing contracts.
  • Ensuring legal and commercial risk mitigation and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Providing detailed legal opinions and guidance on diverse matters including bidding strategy, contractual payment disputes, and land acquisition.
  • Conducting land-related legal due diligence and title verification for project development.
  • Reviewing final bid submissions for infrastructure projects and handling bid-related queries.
  • Evaluating contractual, corporate, and land-related risks for smooth transition and integration.
  • Engaging in direct negotiations with external stakeholders and counterparties.

Key requirements include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in the energy or infrastructure sector is preferred but not required.
