**Job Title:** Inventory Control Specialist

 

The role of the Inventory Control Specialist is to oversee the procurement, warehousing, and inventory management of banking devices. This involves working with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.

  • Purpose of Job:
  • • Evaluate multiple available products and services in the market to meet user requirements.
  • • Compare available goods and services with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
  • • Finalize vendor and cost through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process, taking into account user requirements and techno-commercial evaluations.
  • • Support user and legal functions for contract execution from a supply chain management perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end activities related to warehousing and inventory control management for all banking products and devices.
  • Coordinate with relevant user functions on a regular basis to understand their requirements and manage sufficient inventories accordingly.
  • Review existing contracts related to banking products, warehousing, and inventory control, and maintain a tracker and repository.
  • Cost savings through existing contract negotiations with partners and agencies.
  • Raise the need for agreements in time and ensure renewal before expiry.
  • Handle imports shipments end-to-end, including coordination with foreign partners, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage with user functions to understand their needs and resolve pain points related to purchase, warehousing, and imports.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure timely payment of vendor POs.
  • Regularly coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of ordered products and collect inventory reports daily.
  • Prepare and publish inventory reports for all products on a daily basis.
  • Support data analysis for preparing monthly procurement reports.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products.
  • Manage vendor partnerships to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • At least 10-12 years of strong experience in sourcing, import, and warehousing and inventory control management.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices and governance.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing procurement data.

Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent qualifications.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a high-paced dynamic environment and prioritize workloads to meet scheduling demands and timelines.
