Job Opportunity: Senior Test Development Engineer

The ideal candidate will possess 2-12 years of experience in electronics and/or semiconductors, with expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms such as Teradyne ETS800 / ETS88 / ETS364 or Advantest V93K, T2K.

They will collaborate closely with cross-functional R&D teams to define manufacturing test flows and methodologies for ASIC/SoC to meet customer and quality requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define product Design for Test (DfT) and test requirements Pre-PG including DfT-max Requirements for a new product, translate Product Requirements Document (PRD) / Marketing Requirement Documents (MRDs) into Product Test Specifications (PTS) / System Control Modules (SCMs) / Production Release Plans (PRPs) for ATE test-plan definition, and design ATE Hardware (HW) for lowest cost solution (max multi-site, lowest pin-mux) for Si bring-up and validation.
  • Post-Si bring-up and validation of all functional and test features, including extensive debug that requires good knowledge of IC design and semiconductor physics.
  • Execute design-of-experiments with process window corner lot to establish spec compliance of each product across full wafer-fab process window.
  • Execute qualification cycles for Si and package to automotive, industrial, and commercial standards (as per the primary product market).

Additional Responsibilities:

Monitoring product yield, test time and Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), providing technical solutions for yield improvement, Time-To-Repair (TTR) and DPPM reduction, and driving implementation plans with R&D and factory personnel.

The ideal individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, with excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems with minimal data points, and multitask to meet deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Work experience or university project experience in Electronics and/or Semiconductors.
  • Hands-on experience with Lab Equipment (Testers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Logic Analyzers).
  • Knowledge of IC Test Methodologies, System Testing and Communication Protocols such as USB, UART, PCIe, I2C, I2S, DDR etc.
  • Good understanding of software programs written in C, C++, C# and ability to step through the code if required.
  • Able to work comfortably with Windows and Linux Operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems with minimal data points.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
