Software Development Engineer in Test

A Software Development Engineer in Test is required to join a dynamic Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining UI and backend automation tests, ensuring the highest quality standards across the application.

The Senior SDET will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.

  • Test Automation Development:
    • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for both UI and backend.
    • Develop, enhance, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
    • Write and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • API Testing:
    • Write automated API tests using RestAssured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs.
    • Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.
    • Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.
  • Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD):
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
    • Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
    • Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and resolve them independently.
    • Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code.
    • Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables.
    • Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.
    • Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.
