Senior IT Solutions Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Solutions Engineer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
  • Work as part of Agile scrum teams to design, implement, and test solutions in support of business needs across various portfolios.
  • Deliver software architecture, designs, and implementations.
  • Participate in all aspects of our agile development process, from sprint planning to daily scrum meetings and sprint demos.
  • Create and execute unit tests to verify functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
  • Contribute to software design reviews and code reviews.
  • Manage and Support both SAAS and Custom applications to maintain high availability application services to provide users with the tools and data needed to do their jobs effectively.
  • Manage and Support Internal Ticket Escalations.
  • General to Complex technology support including troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues, and root cause analysis of sustaining issues.
  • Independently debug and resolve complex application issues and problems.
  • Monitor and assist in managing open user forums.
  • Provide application best practice guidance to end users.
  • Manage Application Functionality Updates, Integrations, Configurations, Releases and Security Settings.
  • Onboard/Offboard user licenses for select applications.
  • Work on sustaining issues, enhancements, and projects.
  • Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures to maintain best practices across the teams portfolio.
  • Partner with IT resources in the overall strategy, design, operation, and continual improvement of applications services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Typically has 5-7 years of experience with strong technical and functional experience in hands-on application support, administration, configurations, integration, enhancements, and project work.
  • Experience as a full-stack developer while using commercially available solutions including Microsoft Power Apps, UIPath, Drupal, Asana.
  • Experience with AI / Gen AI applications (LLMs, Prompt Engineering) a plus.
  • Strong technical experience in hands-on application administration and configuration of both on-premise and cloud-delivered services.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, global, corporate environment including the ability to manage expectations and facilitate prioritization efforts.
  • Eagerness to learn new technology and processes.
  • Ability to analyze both technical and data problems then propose solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Database experience with the following platforms SQL Server, Mongo, HANA, and MySQL a plus.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the O365 suite including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure, etc a plus.
  • API and scripting experience a plus.
  • Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates.
  • Change control experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
