Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a senior associate position in our fund accounting team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

They will be responsible for preparing daily cash reports, reconciling movements in capacity and loan balances, and reviewing cash management proposals from administrators.

In addition, they will collaborate closely with the treasury team to review and agree on proposals, and prepare loan instructions and FX instructions to send to administrators and other 3rd party service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare daily cash reporting for active private equity secondaries funds, involving collating data from administrators, banking providers, and internal forecasts.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile movements in capacity, loan balances, and forecast capacity to prior day reporting, adjusting manual forecast data for new deals and other uncertain cash flows based on the latest information.
  • Cash Management: Review cash management proposals from administrators for internal cash movements within the fund structures and instruct them to make any additional cash movements as required.
  • Forecasting: Review short-term forecasts for each fund and vehicle to formulate proposals for near-term cash management, including loan drawdowns/repayments, money market fund subscriptions/redemptions, and FX trades.
  • Liaison: Liaise with fund owners within the Treasury team to review and agree proposals.
  • Documentation: Prepare loan instructions and FX instructions to send to administrators and other 3rd party service providers.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate/CFA/CA/MBA/CCRA/CIIA/CAIA qualifications or equivalent.
  • 9+ years of experience in fund accounting is preferred.
  • Managing and/or leading employees for 2-3 years.
  • Strong interpersonal & teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of PCAP and quarterly preparing PCAP.
  • Ability to work hands-on, delving into projects with a strong attention to detail and emphasis on producing a high-quality work product.
  • Experience working independently, proactively identifying or initiating ways to enhance a process, procedure, or outcome that benefits the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize a large and varied workload, managing multiple tasks and details simultaneously.
  • Ability to show initiative, willingness to learn, and take on responsibilities as a contributing team member either in a lead or backup role to ensure team success.
  • Should be solutions-focused and can work in unstructured environments under minimum or no supervision.
  • Willingness to acknowledge what is not understood and seek assistance.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
