Marine Operations Specialist Job Description

This role involves overseeing daily operations of a fleet, coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assisting in the scheduling and execution of voyages.

The primary responsibilities include managing documentation, liaising with clients, and supporting the team in achieving operational efficiency. Key tasks involve:

  • Monitoring vessel performance to ensure charter party terms are met.
  • Collecting cargo documents from vessels at load/discharge ports.
  • Analyzing vessel performance in charterer's format.
  • Preparing freight invoices and demurrage claims according to charter party terms.
  • Sending deck and engine logs to charterers within stipulated time.
  • Raising timely invoices for charter hire, freight, bunker reimbursement, and demurrage.
  • Supporting Vessel Operation Superintendent in day-to-day work for smooth vessel operation.
  • Selecting and appointing agency representatives.
Key Skills Required:

Candidates with a background in logistics, transportation, or a related field are highly desirable.
