Lead Online Learning Department

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Digital Learning Initiatives to spearhead our digital education initiatives. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our online learning programs, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and effective learning experiences for all participants and compliance with regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the online learning strategy in alignment with the institution's overall goals. Identify trends and opportunities in online education to enhance our offerings.
  • Program Development: Design and oversee the creation of engaging and interactive online courses and curricula, collaborating with subject matter experts and instructional designers.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of educators, instructional designers, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement assessment and evaluation processes to ensure program quality and effectiveness. Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and improve learning outcomes. Deep understanding of outcome-based education.
  • Technology Integration: Stay updated on the latest technologies and tools in online education. Oversee the selection and implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and other digital platforms.
  • Project Management: Ensure the planning, scheduling, and controlling pre-production and post-production aspects of content development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with faculty, administrative staff, and external partners to promote online learning initiatives and ensure alignment with institutional standards.
  • Professional Development: Organize training and workshops for faculty and staff to enhance their online teaching skills and incorporate best practices in digital pedagogy.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet program needs.
  • Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure all online programs meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Student Success: Develop robust student support and student success processes to enhance the overall student satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Management, Instructional Design, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in online education or instructional design, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of current trends and best practices in educational technology and online learning.
  • Strong understanding of online learning theories and practices.
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance for UGC-DEB, accreditations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in LMS and educational technologies.
