Database Administration Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned database administrator to spearhead our database systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in relational and NoSQL database technologies, as well as Big Data Technologies such as HDFS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Elastic.

Responsibilities include analyzing existing database systems, recommending improvements, and implementing new technologies effectively.

Candidates must have a strong foundation in data integrity, collaboration, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing database systems and implement process improvements
  • Manage and maintain high-availability Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters
  • Administer and monitor Apache Kafka clusters for optimal performance and security
  • Perform database administration tasks for Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL systems
  • Develop automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience with database technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results-oriented initiatives
