Oracle Database Administrator Role

The organization seeks an experienced and skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the company's databases by performing day-to-day tasks such as database administration, replication, troubleshooting, and database security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and optimize Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.
  • Oracle DBA Experience: Freshers or experienced candidates with basic knowledge of Oracle database administration can apply.
  • Understanding of Oracle database architecture, including datafiles, control files, redo logs, and undo management.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Oracle database concepts, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Understanding of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
