Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing various aspects of banking and finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with banks to ensure smooth banking operations
- Assist in daily cash management across multiple bank accounts
- Produce timely and accurate Management Information System (MIS) reports on liquidity
- Obtain required tax documents
- Prepare weekly payment summaries and review employee claims
- Manage company credit cards and purchase licenses
- Produce monthly payment reports for accounting purposes
- Assist in executing financing deals and Daily Portfolio Transfers, Investor Repayments, EMI Repayments
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for India, covering disbursements, repayments, net cash, and third-party contracts
- Prepare and record journal entries using financial software to support a timely month-end close
- Assist with timely payment of all statutory dues and partner with various departments on accruals, vendor management, and contracts management
- Assist the team in preparing and communicating timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports
- Assist with the preparation of monthly cash projections and assist with annual external audit, completing requested materials
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience in a similar position
- Experience in handling banking transactions and fluent spoken and written English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and good grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Driven by data and highly analytical, with a good understanding of financial software and Excel preferred
