Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a vital role in guaranteeing the excellence of software for optical metrology systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out comprehensive testing, encompassing integration testing for hardware/software systems, system interface testing, functional testing for software services/modules, regression and benchmarking testing for system performance.
  • Cover the entire metrology solution workflow from operating optical metrology tools to producing thin film/OCD metrology solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product, hardware, software, application, characterization teams in designing SQA testing strategies and plans based on product requirements and technical design documents.
  • Design, implement, and maintain test automation capabilities to enhance the efficiency and coverage of SQA testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve testing suites/processes for feature testing, regression testing, release testing, and benchmarking.
  • Document software defects and work closely with software teams in addressing them.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or a related field.
  • Prior experience in software quality assurance, knowledge of SQA methodologies, tools, and processes, and hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Strong foundation in scripting and experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Preferred education and experience include prior experience with semiconductor front-end processes, Thin Film and OCD metrology technologies, optical spectroscopies, and material characterization.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or a related field.
  • Knowledgeable in numerical analysis, machine learning, and software development.
