Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

A key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are met.
Main Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for implementing quality assurance best practices and understanding software requirements.
- Prepare test plans with the lead/manager, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts to ensure seamless testing processes.
- Develop complex test data sets for thorough testing, identify and select relevant test cases for automation, create, enhance, debug, and execute automated test cases.
- Execute manual/automated tests using Selenium, TestNG, Maven, BDD framework, and develop automated test scripts using Selenium and BDD framework.
- You will suggest improvements on the automation framework and report defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Analyze test results, track software testing metrics, prepare and present detailed test reports, train and mentor junior software testers, and monitor defect management processes.
- Manage changes effectively, execute regression tests to maximize system coverage, reduce defects, and enhance output quality and productivity.
- You will communicate and collaborate with product developers, direct manager, and engineering peers to develop optimal solutions, improve product proficiency, and contribute to forward-thinking initiatives.
- Implement or adhere to coding standards and best practices, demonstrating high attention to detail in a dynamic environment while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Ensure quality checks align with agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and turn-around times (TATs).
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in software testing - manual & automation and quality assurance practices.
- Experience with Trade Finance platforms (Trade Finance modules in large core banking systems like Flexcube, Finacle, Temenos T24, Finastra, etc.).
- Familiarity with web applications, database, and APIs testing.
- Expertise in performing different types of functional and non-functional testing, including system, integration, regression, database, performance, stress, etc.
- Experience designing and developing test automation frameworks leveraging relevant code libraries.
- Proficiency in Selenium Webdrivers, TestNG, etc.
- Ability to work independently as a senior tester and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with REST APIs.
- Experience with database technologies like SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
- Familiarity with configuration management and version control.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing requirements, learn new tools, and practices as needed.
- Proven ability to explain how one's work contributes to the larger organizational goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Track record of delivering exceptional results to internal or external clients.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, integrate seamlessly with the implementation services team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Financial Services industry is a plus.
- Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
