We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Higher Education Strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth and innovation in the higher education sector.

  • Key Responsibilities:

1. Thought Leadership/Policymaking work in Higher Education

  • Work with our leadership team to identify key areas for thought leadership papers, reports, and articles.
  • Interface regularly with regulatory bodies, governments, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on industry developments and contribute to FICCI's advocacy efforts.

FICCI Higher Education Committee & Taskforces

  • Conduct committee meetings under the guidance of our leadership team and develop agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Create small groups of experts/Task Forces to address specific sectoral issues and work with them to develop papers and execute bespoke projects.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with university leaders, multilateral organizations, and other important stakeholders in higher education.

Higher Education Summit (HES)

  • Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit, working closely with our leadership team to design the conference program and identify national and international partners.
  • Manage masterclasses/workshops and focused closed-door interactions between industry and academic leaders.
  • Generate revenue for the department through sponsorship, delegate participation, and social media branding.

Projects

  • Identify and execute projects in the space of industry-academia engagement, reconnecting with FICCI's NKFH partners and initiating activities based on the NKFH framework.
  • Organize capacity building programs for faculty and higher education leadership.
  • Engage with World Bank and other global agencies to explore joint projects.

Webinars/Workshops/Masterclasses/Delegations

  • Ideate and execute masterclasses, workshops, webinars on relevant topics, engaging committee leadership and senior government functionaries in select ones.
  • Develop partnerships with external partners and generate revenue for the organization.

Reports/Recommendations

  • Stay up-to-date on recent government announcements and develop FICCI inputs/recommendations for their consideration.
  • Work with the knowledge partner to provide information through secondary research for the annual FICCI Knowledge report.
  • Collaborate with key committee members/task forces to develop position papers/reports on identified areas.

FICCI Eduwrap

  • Publish a bi-monthly sectoral newsletter with outreach to all stakeholders, striving to generate revenue by identifying and mobilizing potential partners.
  • Collate relevant news items/articles for every edition.
