Import Procurement Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the import procurement operation, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials to meet production requirements.

  1. Manage end-to-end import procurement process, from enquiry to payment.
  2. Coordinate with plant users, account departments, store departments, suppliers, freight forwarders, and Customs House Agents (CHA) to ensure on-time delivery.
  3. Prepare and update MIS reports, including stock reports, transit stocks, pending orders, and vendor payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely float enquiries for procurement of import items as per production plan and receive indent.
  • Offer collection, preparation of Commercial Invoice (CS) and creation of Purchase Order (PO), Contract, Service Work Order (SWO) in SAP.
  • Release vendor payments as per PO terms and follow up for delivery with shippers of pending orders.
Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command of MS Office and SAP MM.
  • Knowledge of Import procurement (PR to PO and Pay Process – SAP MM Module).
  • Knowledge of Customs Clearance and International Freight Forwarding.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Tech / MBA having 4-6 years of experience; Graduate/Post Graduate having 8-10 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Inventory Control.
  • Knowledge of MIGO, MIRO, Movement Type, Transfer Order in SAP.
  • Purchase experience in engineering and industrial DI pipe consumable import and domestic items.
