Payroll Operations Specialist

Description: We are seeking an experienced professional to support end-to-end payroll operations in India.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely data collation, accurate processing, and compliance with statutory requirements. This role provides essential execution support to the payroll team and helps deliver smooth payroll experience for employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection: Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll inputs (attendance, leave, overtime, new joiners, exits, variable pay, etc.).
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing monthly payroll and verifying salary computations.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure accurate deduction and calculation of statutory components (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Record Keeping: Maintain payroll records, employee master data, and documentation.
  • Reporting: Generate standard payroll reports and share with Assistant Manager / Manager for review.
  • Coordination: Co-ordinate with finance team for reconciliations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate in Commerce/Finance/HR; MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of payroll execution experience (India payroll).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with payroll systems (SAP, ADP etc.), proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate), understanding of Indian statutory payroll compliance.
  • Behavioural Skills: Detail orientation and accuracy, ability to handle sensitive/confidential information, good communication and coordination skills.
