Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with government/public companies to develop comprehensive strategies that promote investment and drive production growth in the mining sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice on mining areas (exploration, geology, mine development & design, extraction & beneficiation, refining) to support regulatory frameworks and company strategies.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on regional mining industry trends, opportunities, and challenges – generate actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with mining companies, investors, and local communities to promote sustainable practices.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish performance metrics to track progress and provide regular updates.
  • Thought Leadership and Business Development: Contribute to methodologies, tools, and intellectual property related to mining sector trends and innovations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mining fields (geology, mining specialist, etc.) or MBAs.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mining and overall experience of minimum 8 years in research and consulting.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mining areas, including exploration, resource evaluation, mine development, and beneficiation.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Teamwork and Project Management: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively as needed.
