Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Bangalore.

This is a Full-time opportunity.

We are looking for an experienced professional to work on various phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and the ability to understand customer requirements and propose solutions keeping functionality, optimization in view.

  • Automation and design of mechanical engineering components.
  • Design and development of SPM (Single Point Machines).
  • Design review and checking of 2D detail drawings.
  • Cross-functional interaction to qualify new design.
  • Achieving customer specifications and requirements.
  • Offering technical support.

Required Skills:

  • Station DRI-Full machine conceptual design, manufacturing design,DFM,SOP, RF design.
  • 3D Part modeling,3D finishing and Assembly Details, cots items spec freeze and localization.
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical engineering or Equivalent with 4 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in automation, electromechanical / mechatronics and related concepts.
  • Understanding customer requirement, proposing feasible ideas and concepts.
  • Well-versed with creation, reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and standards particularly precision components, fabricated structures.
  • Wide knowledge of automation products.
  • Validation of engineering components and concepts through engineering calculations.
  • Selection of commercial items like Bearings, motor, gear box, Servomotor, sensors, conveyors etc..
  • Awareness about best machining process, heat treatment process, engineering materials, surface treatment, EDM EBM mechatronics etc.
  • Able to understand and apply limits fits and tolerances, GD & T, surface finish.
  • Good knowledge of DFx (DFM,DFS,DFA…) concepts.
  • Knowledge of robotics, robot selection, application is an added advantage.
  • Well-convergent with CAD 2D/3D platform particularly AUTO CAD , SOLID WORKS (Mandatory)
