Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of our innovative multi-gas sensor products. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the mechanical design process from concept to production, ensuring seamless integration with various teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CAD tools, including SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Fusion 360, Inventor, and CATIA. Proficiency in injection moulding, CNC-based metallic enclosures, NPT, BSP, BSPT threads, and machined fittings is also essential.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for suitability to manufacture, performance, and cost across diverse environmental conditions. Conducting simulations, tolerance analysis, and failure assessments are crucial aspects of this role.

In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to interface effectively with suppliers and drive product rollout from concept to full-scale manufacturing.

This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design, coupled with at least 5-8 years of experience in mechanical/product design. Membership in a Formula One Student Team is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for multi-gas sensor products.
  • Collaborate with electronics, materials, and compliance teams to ensure seamless product integration.
  • Conduct simulations, tolerance analysis, and failure assessments to optimize design performance.
  • Interface with suppliers and drive product rollout from concept to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Support in technical documentation and datasheet creation.
