Regional Business Development Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Business Development Lead to drive commercial efforts across the region in India. The successful candidate will lead business operations, maximize sales and market share gain for products and/or services throughout assigned regions in India domestic and regulated markets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to grow existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the region, as well as direct and align with Global and Regional Key Account Managers to further penetrate client organizations.
  • Deploy a consultative selling approach to understand customers' supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business activities, including planning, production, logistics, and shipping.
  • Identify markets and customers for new products and assist in ensuring successful launches and sales growth.
  • Provide market research and intelligence to inform future export strategies.

Requirements:
  • At least 15 to 20 years of relevant industry experience in API Sales and Business Development, with a focus on the India market.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship management skills, strategic thinking, and innovative problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with incomplete information.
  • Good negotiation and presentation techniques, as well as well-versed sales techniques, consultative selling, customer psychology, and purchasing patterns.
