About the Role

This is a dynamic position for an experienced professional to oversee procurement activities and drive business growth through strategic sourcing.

As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services while meeting budgetary requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and develop reliable vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Procurement Planning: Plan and prioritize purchasing activities in alignment with business objectives, ensuring timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including negotiations, renewals, and terminations, to maintain a stable supplier base.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with stores, and ensure adequate stock to meet business needs.
  • Supplier Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and implement processes to optimize procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Supply Chain Management. MBA or specialized procurement certification (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/purchase functions, with hands-on experience in mechanical and instrumentation items procurement.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of import documentation and international sourcing, proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), good understanding of procurement laws and compliance, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
