Technical Support Engineer

This position is available in a high-tech company. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will work closely with the Client Success team to provide Tier-2 client support for software technical issues and collaborate with the Engineering department to debug and resolve these issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to internal and external users, including customer service teams, clients, and partners.
  • Communicate and coordinate feedback and inputs to the development team, primarily based in India.
  • Assist the QA lead with QA activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with minimal support from the development team.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to quickly identify and resolve their problems.
  • Propose workarounds to customers when fixes are not immediately available.
  • Deliver timely and accurate customer feedback.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Support the rollout of new applications.
  • Develop procedural documentation as part of support efforts.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Test and evaluate new releases.
  • Pursue innovative solutions for efficient operational processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Availability to work during US hours (9 am to 6 pm Central Time).
  • Experience in tech support for web-based business applications with Mobile interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Java, JavaScript (React), MySQL, and AWS.
  • Proficiency in browser-based debugging, JSON format, REST APIs, database queries, and logs.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Familiarity with ticket management tools like Clickup, Jira, Trello, etc.
  • Experience with texting and communication-based applications is beneficial.
  • Certifications in Linux, Java, Web development, AWS are desirable but not required.
  • Experience with AI tools for daily tasks is advantageous.
  • Able to scale into a developer with minimal training due to a development mindset.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
