Financial Risk Management Specialist

About the Role:

  • This position is responsible for conducting thorough credit audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in audit planning, risk management, and process benchmarking.
  • You will be working closely with senior management to design and implement risk-based audit plans that ensure the bank's safety and soundness.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to complete assigned audits on time and document your findings accurately.
  • In addition, you will be tracking the status of issues reported and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • As a seasoned professional, you will assist in keeping relevant processes benchmarked to best practices and peer banks.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining the audit procedure manual and checklists current and updated.
  • Another key aspect of this role is devising audit checklists for internal and concurrent auditors and testing products and processes to identify potential pitfalls and bottlenecks.
  • Furthermore, you will provide valuable suggestions to existing processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You will oversee the concurrent audit process, ensuring timely submission of reports and regular update of checklists.
  • In this position, you will also review and follow up on concurrent audit issues to ensure they are addressed promptly.
