Usage consumption pricing is a revenue model where customers are charged based on the actual amount of product or service they use. This approach can lead to increased customer satisfaction and reduced churn, as customers only pay for what they consume.

At Continuous Technologies, we specialize in helping companies implement usage consumption pricing models on the Salesforce platform. Our Quote to Consumption solution seamlessly integrates with Salesforce, eliminating the need for costly integrations with standalone billing systems or ongoing maintenance of complex customizations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior/Staff Platform Software Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing back-end SaaS applications, object-oriented programming (OOP), distributed systems, and data modeling. Additionally, this role will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring that product features are designed and delivered according to business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-performance software for critical business processes
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain core platform components
  • Develop new features and functionality from end-to-end
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to resolve issues and generate new ideas

Requirements

10+ years of experience in product engineering

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience working with distributed systems and high-throughput data pipelines

Extreme proficiency in Kotlin or Java

Strong knowledge of Kafka and Spring Boot

Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, design, and debugging skills

Fast learner with the ability to pick up and apply new technologies quickly

Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure

Strong communication and leadership skills

Experience with common dev ops tools a plus
