Job Summary:

This role focuses on evaluating and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls. It involves testing these controls, applying company policies and standards, and making sound business decisions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform control testing to ensure internal controls are operating correctly and effectively.
  • Apply company policies, procedures, and accounting standards accurately and seek advice when necessary.
  • Evaluate risk and test internal controls through an understanding of key business processes.
  • Determine alternative solutions to problems and make informed business decisions.
  • Document accurate workpapers that clearly describe review objectives, test procedures, and results.

Additional Key Tasks:

  • Develops and understands the SOXHub Tool (AuditBoard) for work responsibilities.
  • Communicates effectively with others in a positive manner.
  • Identifies control exceptions, applies criteria for evaluating, and drafts results timely.
  • Promotes teamwork and contributes to achieving organizational objectives.
  • Supports and monitors controls remediation efforts.
  • Assists in training new team members on controls.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices.
  • 1 year relevant experience, either within the Big 4 Audit Firm or in a multi-national organization.
  • CPA required. Other certifications preferred (CIA, CISA, etc).
