Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Internal Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of the internal audit function, you will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders, and implementing corrective actions.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in internal audit and accounting, with experience working in manufacturing environments and cross-functional departments. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent on-site internal control reviews and implement control processes and corrective actions as needed.
  • Undertake special projects to simplify, standardize, and automate processes, strengthening internal controls while reducing inefficiencies and inaccuracies.
  • Assess areas of risk and implement comprehensive risk management strategies across all functional areas.
  • Coordinate mandatory Statutory/Corporate/Asia reporting requirements, including Quarterly Attestation and Semi-Annual Balance Sheet Reviews.
  • Foster best practices sharing across the organization.
  • Support operational and financial audits by preparing, liaising with auditors, responding to deficiencies, and closing gaps.
  • Analyze and evaluate accounting documents for compliance with US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of experience in internal audit/accounting audit/internal control roles, preferably in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments with cross-functional departments.
  • Able to perform process audits and month-end close reviews independently.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and stakeholders.
  • Must be highly adaptable and able to work well in ambiguous situations.
  • Great attitude under pressure, with ability to negotiate and influence effective outcomes.
  • Strong work ethic, with a track record of taking on additional responsibility, self-starting, and being self-directed.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, detail-oriented, with strong time management skills and focus on achieving results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in QAD and Hyperion preferred.
