Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential risks that may impact the organization's operations.
  • Control Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify deficiencies or weaknesses in processes, systems, or practices.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and improve overall risk management.
  • Reporting & Communication: Document risk findings, observations, and recommendations in clear and concise reports for presentation to management and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with management to implement corrective actions and improvements based on risk recommendations.
  • Follow-up & Resolution: Monitor and track the status of risk findings and management responses to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  • Team Support & Guidance: Provide support and guidance to colleagues within the risk management team and across the organization on risk-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Studying towards professional qualifications (IIA CIA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalents) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience: Twelve months plus of progressive risk management experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of risk management concepts, principles, and methodologies.
  • Communication Skill: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate risk findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
  • Digital Proficiency: Proficiency in risk software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional Integrity: Commitment to upholding professional standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
