About This Role

This role focuses on fostering Agile practices and values within the team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our Scrum Team adheres to these principles.

  • You will act as a coach, removing impediments and escalating when necessary. This will enable the team to work efficiently without any obstacles.
  • Your partnership with the Product Owner, IT Delivery Lead, and Business leadership will be crucial in forming execution delivery plans and managing progress.
  • You will support and facilitate one or more Scrum Teams in various functions by promoting Agile value and practices.
About The Responsibilities

As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles and provides coaching on executing the Scrum framework.
  • Organizing and facilitating ceremonies, identifying improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk.
  • Tracking and communicating overall team progress, providing visibility to stakeholders through Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, etc.
  • Serving as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team.
  • Protecting the team from outside influences to ensure they remain focused on Scrum Team priorities.
  • Partnering with the Product Owner, Project Managers, and Business leads to ensure backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.
  • Facilitating the team for better creativity and improving efficiency in the development team.
  • Arranging daily stand-up/project status meetings, facilitating/scheduling meetings, demos, and decision-making processes for quick inspection and adaptation.
  • No direct managerial accountability; matrixed reporting partners with Sr. Scrum Master and PM Leads to provide coaching/feedback for team success.
  • Guiding Teams to deliver expected outcomes with high quality.
  • Regularly tracking project expenditures against budget to ensure costs remain within approved limits.
  • Identifying and reporting variances between projected and actual expenses with clear explanations and corrective actions.
  • Ensuring project costs are allocated correctly across workstreams, phases, or cost centers as appropriate.
  • Preparing detailed financial reports for stakeholders showing the project's budget status, actuals, and remaining funds.
  • Creating weekly/monthly reports highlighting project health, progress, and key metrics.
  • Reporting risks and issues with mitigation plans to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conducting formal reviews to ensure deliverables quality, obtain approvals, and assess risks.
  • Recording stage gate decisions and monitoring performance to maintain consistency across phases.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline with some experience in IT development.
  • First-level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I).
About Our Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Knowledge of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling intentional gaps in Scrum/Waterfall approaches.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches like Kanban is beneficial.
  • Experience in implementing Cloud Migration projects is advantageous.
